Massolino

THE WINE, ITS LAND, A FAMILY, A CENTURY OF WORK, FOUR GENERATIONS AND AN IMMENSE LOVE OF THEIR LAND. THE MASSOLINO FAMILY HAVE ALWAYS MADE THEIR WINE HERE, IN SERRALUNGA D’ALBA, AT THEIR HOME.

Massolino wines are the result of a privileged relationship with the vineyard, interpreting all its peculiarities and nuances. A relationship built up day by day, personally supervising every moment in the production chain in all twenty three hectares of the estate. From the vineyard to the cellar, from the vine to the bottle.

Serralunga d’Alba is a pretty little village set in the heart of the Barolo production zone. The entire Barolo production zone covers just over 1.700 hectares. The Massolino winery is situated in the historical centre of the village, dominated by a magnificent medieval castle.

The Langhe district is situated in southern Piedmont, in North-West Italy, and is one of the country’s most successful winegrowing areas. The most prestigious grape variety grown in the “Langhe” is undoubtedly Nebbiolo: an exceptionally interesting, but also demanding and difficult, autochthonous grape variety
